Are you ready to fly high with the colorful kites in the sky? Brace yourselves as the 22nd World Kite Festival officially launch on 22 February 2017!
With the theme “Share With Community”, this year’s event is a celebration of success of the world’s top kite-keeper by means of sharing the purpose of international kite culture and inviting people to participate. To make this event more fun than last year’s, there are new projects as well as three new countries invited to join the event.
36 countries will be participating in the event
The more the merrier, isn’t it? So, this event will be full of fun, for sure, as there will be three new countries to join the festivity – Sri Lanka, Estonia and Ireland! There will be a total of 36 countries, 209 kite players and up to 800 people involved in this event.

The 22nd World Kite Festival will be enjoyed from 22 – 26 February 2017. Opening ceremony will be held at around 7:30am on 24 February. People can admire colorful and creative kites flying in the sky for five consecutive days! Don’t miss this, folks!
Event encourages everyone to participate
Since the theme is to “Share with the community” General Assembly organizes 2D kite competition project open to residents aged 7 to 18. Thus, increases people’s participation.
