The annually awaited Pasir Gudang World Kite Festival is back on the 27th of February 2019! The Festival Layang-Layang Sedunia Pasir Gudang Kali Ke-24 is a 5-day event that can be experienced until the 3rd of March.

This year’s event has attracted 42 countries and representatives from the different states to come and participate in the amazing kite flying activity in Bukit Layang-Layang, Johor Bahru. By attracting a lot of kite enthusiasts from all over the world, there are nearly a thousand local kite players expected to participate in the event.
Johor Sultan as the opening guest

Just like the previews years, Johor Sultan Ibrahim will be invited as the opening guest. The ceremony will start at 8:45 pm on 1 March (Friday), while the awards ceremony will be held at 8:45 pm on 3 March (Sunday) at the Gudang Indoor Stadium.

The festival will not only make you in awe of the magnificent kites flying in the beautiful horizon but it will also keep you entertained with the other highlights of the event including the LED nIte flying kites, fireworks show, Local Wau and Rokoku competition, daily traditional and contemporary entertainment, food stalls, and fun and creative activities for the children!
