6 Uniquely Designed Mosques in Malaysia

Being a Muslim country, Malaysia has a lot of mosques, some of which not only serve as a place of worship but also make a beautiful subject for photography.

But before we unravel the beautiful mosques in Malaysia, please be reminded that a mosque is a sacred place for daily worship. Following the rules of the mosques is a must.

1. Masjid Putra @ Putrajaya

This principal mosque of Putrajaya Wilaya is the only pink mosque in Malaysia. It is constructed with rose-tinted granite and can accommodate up top 15,000 worshippers.

Location: Persiaran Persekutuan, Presint 1, 62502 Putrajaya

2. Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz @ Shah Alam

If Masjid Putra is a pink mosque, Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz, on the other hand, is tagged as the blue mosque, which happens to be the largest mosque in Malaysia and the second largest in Southeast Asia next to Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia. This blue mosque can accommodate up to 24,000 worshippers at any one time.

Location: Persiaran Masjid St. Seksyen 14, 40000 Shah Alam, Selangor

3. Masjid Selat Melaka @ Melaka

Masjid Selat Melaka is known as the floating mosque due to being located on the man-made Malacca Island. The mosque is constructed with modern Islamic design and craftsmanship; the main dome has a Middle Eastern appearance.
