The first golf course was designed by 4-time Major Champion, Ernie Els,  whilst the Valley Coast was designed in collaboration with El’s long-standing friend and major champion, Vijay Singh.

4. Desaru Coast Conference Centre

The Desaru Coast Conference Center is a fully equipped multifunctional venue with banquet and exhibit space, which can accommodate up to 1,000 people. It also features meeting rooms,  VIP lounges, pre-function areas, and courtyard where guests can relax and unwind. Moreover, it has an indulging environment and provides a high-standards service, which is pretty perfect as a venue for small meetings or weddings.

5. Globally renowned hotels and resorts

i. The Westin Desaru Coast Resort

The Westin Desaru Coast Resort is a 5-star hotel located in the heart of Desaru Island, which is expected to be opened in 2018. It has 275 elegant and comfortable rooms, as well as a well-equipped convention center which is adjacent to the resort.

How to get to Desaru Coast:

*Highway

– Departure from Johor Bahru via Senai-Desaru Boulevard takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minute

– Departure from Singapore via Long Causeway takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes

– Departure from Kuala Lumpur via South-North Road takes approximately 4 hours

*By air

– From Kuala Lumpur, take a flight to Senai International Airport (about 45 minutes) and then to the Desaru Coast (about 45 minutes)

*By boat

– From Tanjung Belungkor, ride a 30-minute ferry boat to Changi Airport and take a 30-minute drive to the Desaru Coast
