Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the government has channeled a total of RM5.08 billion to almost one million micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) under the Prihatin Special Grant (GKP).
According to Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, the financial assistance covers existing GKP 1.0 and GKP 2.0 beneficiaries, as well as qualified micro SMEs under GKP 3.0, would receive RM1,000 starting from June 10 in phases with a financial implications of about RM1 billion.
Payment will be transferred directly to the bank account registered in the GKP system. Approval status may be checked from June 8.
