The public-private partnership immunisation programme (PIKAS) has been launched on June 16, allowing manufacturing employers to assist factory employees in applying for vaccinations for free!

Who can apply for PIKAS?

Companies from the manufacturing sector, including electrical and electronics, food processing, steel, medical machinery, PPE (personal protective equipment), oil and gas, rubber products


Agriculture, construction, plantation and retail sectors can be referred to the respective ministries as follows:
• Agriculture – Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries
• Construction – Construction Industry Development Board, Ministry of Works
• Plantation – Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities
• Retail – Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs

Do I need to pay for vaccination?

The vaccine is provided by the government through the Ministry of Health, so it is free (but not including the cost of travelling to the vaccination centre). The company must pay for the additional costs of vaccinations for employees, such as management fees and service fees for medical staff and so on. The above costs are not deductible from the employee’s salary.

How to apply?

Step 1: Log in to MITI official website: https://www.miti.gov.my/

Step 2: Click “PIKAS” to view more information

Step 3: Click “REGISTRATION FORM” to get the application form

Step 4: Once completed, the respective industry associations and chambers of commerce will send the form to vaccine4industry@miti.gov.my for application
⚠Note: Employers need to ensure that employees have registered with MySejahtera to apply for vaccination

How do I know if the application is approved?
The vaccination date and location will be sent through MySejahtera and SMS. Those who apply on behalf of the company will also be notified by email.
