What is retail price fuel mechanism?
Due to the continuous declined on the international crude oil prices, the government implemented the floating system in December 2014, that determines the retail price of the oil in our country following the international market.
Since many oil company owners complaints about their losses on the oil price fluctuations, the government mandated a weekly mechanism on oil prices last March 29.
Following the implementation, oil prices are upon the discretion of the petrol filling stations, thus, if they want to make a promotion, they should apply it to the government beforehand and they cannot sell it at a price exceeding from the top price.
