The Road Transport Department (JPJ) strongly discredited the viral news asserting all Singaporean-registered vehicles must register under “Vehicle Entry Permit” system before May 1.

The rogue message escalated quickly through various social media sites including Whatsapp, informing everyone who will be voting this coming general election, cars enlisted in Singapore must go under VEP system. Which, in all honesty, JPJ confirms that the rumor is proven to be false.

So far, JPJ has no restrictions towards foreign vehicles entering our country this election. Furthermore, VEP system is still on its testing and confirmation stage.
