KLIA and KLIA 2 has officially joined the “silent airport” movement. This will reduce the number of announcements per day. Hence, the public is expected to refer to the Flight Information Display Screens (FIDS) or to the Airport CARE Ambassadors for assistance.
Frequent broadcasting causes noise and passengers tend to ignore the information
KLIA and KLIA 2 aim to reduce the noise inside the airport by limiting the number of announcements except important incidents like emergencies, flight delays, and lost child. Also, due to time to time broadcasting, other passengers do not usually pay attention to the information and it can even interrupt the passenger’s rest.
Please keep an eye on your boarding time and make sure you don’t miss your flight!
