Most of us know Pulau Ketam as a “Crab Island”, a place filled with lip-smacking and finger licking fresh crabs! In Spite of the fact that this place is a small island, it offers big adventure and very suitable for a weekend walk with your family and friends!
When you stay in Pulau Ketam, expect that you’ll be entering a slow pace of life. No tall buildings, no bustling sound of cars, just a peaceful unique fishing village. And speaking of which, there’s no car in here, people mode of transportation are bicycles! No traffic congestion at last!
五条巷
Just so you know, there are two fishing villages in here namely 五条巷 and 吉胆渔村. There are no roads connecting the two so you have to ride a boat back and forth, cool right? 五条巷 is relatively quiet and simple, this is a good place for people who live in a concrete jungle as it is a total divergent from their usual customary.
吉胆渔村
Compared to the first one, this village is more bigger and packed with complete infrastructure.

吉胆码头
After your busy sightseeing tour at the island, take time to stay on this area and watch the beautiful sunset! People highly recommend this place especially at night!
神庙
You will never going to run out of sight in this island because they have more than a dozen of temples to pay a visit!
第一座桥
This bridge is the only mode of connecting highway used by the islanders. Under the bridge you can small fishing boats,and walking is such an experience!
鱼寮/养鱼场
Fishing has been the primary source of income by most of the villagers, and no wonder its tourist spots inclined with it. This floating area will let you see the live fish and shrimps diving beneath it!
Friendly reminder: Private fishing areas can only accommodate 8-20 people and it is lead by the a tourguide to prevent the disturbance of the business.
情人桥
Known as the “Valentine’s Bridge” obviously it is made for couples! It is one of the notable attraction in the island as well.
红树林探险
Mangrove as part of the beautiful ecology of the island, is a place to watch the sunset and sunrise. Also, its tranquility sets the mood for a holiday relaxation.
钓螃蟹
A day tour in Pulau Ketam is not complete without seeing a crab, it will be so ironic if you haven’t seen any.
租借脚车
As what first mentioned, there’s no car in here but rather bicycles! The place is quiet and sunny, stretch those arms and feet and stroll the island with bicycle!
No smoke engines, no foul traffic police, no traffic congestion just a plain simple country living life!
Pulau Ketam may not be as beautiful as the islands you’ve seen online or on postcards, but the quality of simple life it gives is truly heartwarming.
