The proposed Rapid Transit System that will link Singapore and Johor Bahru via high bridge is one of the most effective solutions to ease traffic congestion as said by Mr. Najib in the joint press conference last December 13, 2016.
In line with this, RTS also seems to have an impact not only to the traffic congestion but also to Johor Real Estate. In fact, Mr. Peter Ezekiel, a 46-year-old lawyer asserted in his conversation with Channel News Asia that RTS might influence his decision to continue renting a flat or even buying a property in Johor in the near future
Though RTS is still a proposal which is hopefully to be signed on by the end of 2017, has already gained positive feedback.
In addition, two leaders, Malaysia’s Prime Minister Najib Razak and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong noted that this proposal, if completed, will boost the connectivity of two countries and reduce congestion at Malaysia and Singapore’s border crossings.
