Paloh History

Located 35 kilometers away from Kluang and about 32 kilometers from Yong Peng, Paloh town is a balanced population of Chinese, Malays and Indians. During the old times, this place is just a low-lying swamp water, hence the name “Paya”, while “Paloh” is a transliteration from accordingly. As early as 1916, Huang Ren Wang, led the villagers in dredging the fill and started to develop the place. Due to help and participation of the villagers, there were 29 houses built in the town during that year.
