As a matter of fact, the PLUS estimates about 1.6 million vehicle will use the North-South Expressway during on peak days of CNY holiday, which is 10.3% higher than to normal days. Thus, a Travel Time Advisory (TTA) will be issued from February 9 (Friday) until February 25 (Sunday) as a measure in preventing heavy traffic congestion on the highway.

Schedule of distribution of traffic on the highway

With the help of TTA, the distribution of traffic on the North-South Expressway can be monitored, hence the prevention of traffic congestion. As per the table above, people from Johor, Kedah, Penang, North Petak and Perlis who want to travel to Klang Valley are advised to leave before 10:00am while those who wish to go to other states are recommended to leave after 10:00am. If people follow this time travel advisory, they can avoid the traffic of vehicles heading to Perlis, Kedah, Penang, North Perak and Johor, as well as those from other states.
