10 Easy Succulent Tofu Dishes Perfect for the Whole Family!

Sick and tired with plain fried tofu? Time to level up your tofu cooking skills with these succulent recipes!

 

1. Tempting tofu with oyster sauce

Ingredients: 1 box of tofu, 1 egg, 20ml vegetable oil, green onion

Seasoning: 5g corn starch, 25ml oyster sauce, 15ml soy sauce, 30ml water

 

1. Mix oyster sauce, soy sauce, and water

2. Cut the tofu into cubes

3. Mix the egg and the starch

4. Coat the tofu with the egg, then fry until it turns golden brown

5. Add the seasoning sauce then simmer for a few minutes. And for final touch up, garnish it with green onions!

 

2. Mapo doufu

Ingredients: 400g tofu, 30g bean paste, 5g dark soy sauce, 15g soy sauce, shallot, 30g minced meat, 50ml water, 5g sugar, 15ml vegetable oil

For thickening: 10g starch, 10g water

 

1. Stir the water and the starch

2. Cut the tofu into pieces, soak in water, then soak again in cold water

3. Heat the pan with oil, put the shallot and minced meat. Stir fry the meat then pour the bean paste and mix well

4. Add sugar, soy sauce, dark oy sauce, stir fry lightly then add water. Simmer for a while then add the thickening.

5. Sprinkle pepper, onion, and a spoon full of hot oil. *No need to add salt since the soy sauce and dark soy sauce already have a salty taste.

 

3. Crispy tomato tofu

Ingredients: 400g tofu, cooking oil (frying), 15g vegetable oil

Tomato juice: 50g tomato paste, 80g water, 5g corn starch, 3g salt, 10g sugar

 

1. Cut the tofu into cubes, coat it with starch

2. In a pan, pour some oil (at least 1-2cm thick). Once the oil is 60% hot, put the tofu and start frying. Remove the tofu once it turns golden brown.

3. Mix all the tomato juice ingredients

4. Pour oil in a pan, mix together the tomato juice and the fried tofu, then set aside for a while before serving.

 

4. Roasted tofu

Ingredients: 2 pieces tofu, 20g cooking oil, 10g green onion

Barbecue seasoning: 5g chili powder, 2.5g cumin powder, 4g salt, 2g sugar

Seasoning sauce: 15g tomato sauce, 30g oyster sauce, 10g soy sauce, 5g sugar

 

1. Cut the tofu in 4-5cm length, about 1cm thick. Make barbecue flavoring by mixing together the barbecue seasoning ingredients.

2. In a bowl, mix well all the seasoning sauce ingredients.

3. Spread a layer of thin foil in a baking tray. Brush the foil with oil.

4. Sprinkle the barbecue seasoning on the tray.

5. Spread tofu

6. Use a knife to draw 2-3 smallmouths on each piece of tofu

7. Then brush a layer of seasoning sauce on the tofu

8. Spread the sauce and another layer barbecue seasoning

9. Finally, apply a thin layer of oil

10. Preheat the oven in 200 degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes

11. Garnish with green onion

 

5. Fish-flavored tofu

Ingredients: 300g tofu, 100g minced meat, 10g cooking oil, 5g minced ginger, 10g minced garlic, 15g bean paste, 100g water, 2g salt, green onion

Sauce: 15g soy sauce, 15g balsamic vinegar, 8g sugar, 3g starch, 30g water

 

1. Cut the tofu into small pieces

2. Mix soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, sugar, starch, and water to make juice

3. Over low heat, pour some oil in a pan and saute ginger, garlic, and watercress

4. Add the minced meat and stir-fry. Carefully pour the tofu cubes, add water and simmer to taste.

5. Add salt, pour in the fish flavoring and thicken. Sprinkle green onions

 

6. Tofu stew with cabbage

Ingredients: half Chinese cabbage, 1 piece tofu, 2g shallots, 1 pepper, 2 slices of ginger, 2 cloves of garlic, 1g salt, 15g soy sauce, 200ml water, 8g cooking oil, 15g oyster sauce

 

1. Wash the sliced cabbage and cut the tofu into pieces

2. In a large hot pot, put oil and stir-fry scallion, ginger and garlic, pepper and cabbage

3. Stir-fry cabbage, add salt, soy sauce, oil, stir fry evenly

4. Add tofu, simmer for 3 minutes until the soup  turns slightly thick, then sprinkle the shallots

5. Turn off the fire

 

7. Braised Tofu

Ingredients: 250g tofu, 5ml vegetable oil, 5g shallots, 100g minced meat, 15ml cooking wine, 15ml soy sauce, 5ml dark soy sauce, 200ml water, 30g water starch

 

1. Cut the tofu

2. Heat oil in a pan, saute shallots, add cooking wine, soy sauce and dark soy sauce

3. Add the tofu, pour 200ml of water, and simmer until half of the water boils. Add salt to taste

4. To thicken the soup, add starch water. Sprinkle shallots for additional flavor and color.

 

8. Egg wrapped tofu

Ingredients: 400g tofu, 2 eggs, 1 shallot, 10ml vegetable oil, 2g salt, 1 tablespoon soybean paste

 

1. Beat two eggs and salt in a bowl. Diced the tofu and clean with water.

2. Put oil all over the pan, pour the egg mixture and the tofu. Cook under medium heat and wait until both sides turn golden brown.

3. Pour the remaining the egg, once the egg is cook brush it with soybean paste and sprinkle green onion

 

9. Fried Tofu

Ingredients: 400g tofu, chopped shallots, oil for frying

Seasoning: 10g cooked white sesame, 3g cumin powder, 3g salt, 2g sugar, 3g chili powder, 5g minced garlic

 

1. Place oil in a pan and wait till it turns 60% hot. Add the tofu (cubes). Fry until it turns golden yellow

2. Remove a spoonful of oil from the pot, pour it on the seasoning and mix well. 

3. Drizzle the seasoning on the fried tofu and sprinkle shallots on top of it.

 

10. Tofu Crackers

Ingredients: 1 tofu, 1 egg, 0.3 carrots, 0.3 celery, 50g plain flour (medium gluten), 3g salt, 15ml vegetable oil

 

1. Mix together the tofu, eggs, carrots, chopped celery, flour and salt in a large bowl. Grind the tofu and mix well.

2. Put some oil in a pot, wait until it is hot. Shape the tofu into circles

3. Fry the tofu under medium-low heat and wait until all the sides turn golden brown
