When school year is finally over, the next question for our young students is how they will make the most of their long holiday?
There are a lot of things to do and places to explore in Malaysia. Like for example, did you know that Malaysia has a total number of 16 theme parks and waterparks? Not mentioning that there will be 10 more to be released in the coming years!
It is not surprising that Malaysia is now dubbed to be the Southeast Asia’s theme park capital!
With all the theme parks and waterparks we have, how many can you name?
1. Legoland Malaysia – Asia’s first Legoland theme park
One of Malaysia’s pride is probably the notable Legoland theme park in Johor Bahru. It is divided into seven themed areas with up to 40 kinds of recreational facilities including various performances attracting visitors from across the globe! Be amused with millions of lego toys assembled to turn into world famous landmarks such as India’s Taj Mahal, Beijing’s Forbidden City, our country’s very own Twin Towers and many more.
Since its opening last 2012, Legoland’s effort to amuse its visitors worldwide pave way to its newest attractions such as water theme park, the Lego Hotel, Cyclone Ninja and the new Star Wars Paradise. It is also expected that the theme park will launch its RM50 million worth “Seaside Aquarium”!
2. Sanrio Hello Kitty Town
Sanrio Hello Kitty Town is the only authorized overseas kitty land paradise from Japan. The park is divided into nine areas which includes playground, adventure maze, rotating large cups and many more. It is indeed a must and heaven for Hello Kitty lovers!

In addition, The Little Big Club is also located near Sanrio Hello Kitty Town. There are five cartoon characters on the park including Barney, Bob the Builder, Angelina Ballerina, Pingu and Thomas and Friends. Every corner of the park is based on the said cartoon characters as if you have been transported on their world!
3. Angry Bird Theme Park
Angry Bird became one of the most popular sought after game on the 20th century, thus this theme park was made after it. Boasting a 26,000 square feet land which can accommodate up to 800 visitors all at once! The place also provides a series of game facilities and activity area which are really fascinating and worth the visit!
4. Fanpekka theme park
Last year’s October 27th, Aeon Tebrau launched its newest indoor Finnish theme park the Fanpekka! It is designed for children to inspire their creativity by providing fun and intellectual activities. The place is composed of different sections where children need to pass each to win an exclusive giveaway! So the next time you went to the mall, you can let your children learn while playing!

5. Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park
Splash and slide at Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park, a 10-acre water park that will let you have fun under the sun with their extreme waterslides activities!
Iskandar will build more theme parks.
The Iskandar Special Economic Zone is expected to build more theme parks and become a regional theme park hub soon.
