According to the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Khairy Jamaluddin, Malaysia will receive nearly 16 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine in July, including 12 million doses of Sinovac vaccine, 2.2 million doses of Pfizer vaccine, and 1.2 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine. The Minister of Health Dr. Adham Baba has also signed an agreement to increase the purchase of Pfizer vaccines to 12.8 million doses, which also means that the total doses will be 44.8 million doses. By June, Malaysia will receive 2.223 million doses, approximately 444,600 doses per week. In addition, 610,000 and 410,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine were obtained in June and July. As the government can receive enough vaccines faster, the national immunization plan will be implemented faster.

In addition, Khairy Jamaluddin also promised that starting from June, the daily dose will be increased to 150,000 doses to speed up the implementation of the vaccination plan.
