According to the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force （CITF）, the second phase opt-in for the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine was snatched up in an hour, with a total of 956,609 slots registered by Malaysians aged 18 and above.
CITF also stated that there are 275,208 slots booked by the elderly during the registration from May 23 to 25. The number of successful registrations is more than the original scheduled amount of 1.261 million doses, which means that the government has provided an additional 3000 slots.
In addition, CITF apologized to the public for the technical problem that resulted in users having problems accessing several features in the website. CITF said they will take this mechanical problem seriously and will take action for interest of the public and the country.
