Due to the highly anticipated royal wedding of Johor princess Tunku Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim and Dutchman Muhammad Abdullah which is set to happen today, August 14, 2017 at the Throne Room of Istana Besar, major roads in Johor Bahru will be closed from 6:00 in the evening until the ceremony ends.
According to Johor police chief Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd, the roads that will be closed include Jalan Ayer Molek, Jalan Yahya Awal and Jalan Dato Onn. He added that there will be some 318 police personnel in charge of escort duties, security and traffic control who will be deployed throughout the wedding ceremony.
In line with this, he also asserted to the public to use alternative routes in order to avoid traffic congestion.
