All Counters of Woodlands Checkpoint and Second Link to Open during GE14 on May 9

In line with the upcoming GE14 on May 9, all counters of Woodlands Checkpoints and Second Link will be opened to spare Malaysians from being trapped in heavy traffic.

 

Malaysians are advised to plan the trip in advance

Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai advises all Malaysian voters who work in Singapore to plan their trips back to the country in advance to avoid traffic congestion during peak periods. At the same time, drivers are reminded to ensure sufficient balance in the Touch ‘n Go card.

More so, the motorists should also follow the traffic rules and regulations to keep a smooth travel.

 

About 100,000 people enter and leave the country

At present, the Johor Causeway has a total of 77 clearance immigration counters  (39 inbound, 38 outbound), 100 bicycle lanes (50 inbound, 50 outbound) while the Second Link has a total of 48 clearance facilities and 50 bicycle lanes. As per the records of the Immigration Bureau, an average of 100,000 people pass through Woodlands Causeway and Second Link checkpoint every day.
