108 Yoga Shala was founded recently by a medical doctor, Dr Elaine Lee in October 2019. There’s an inspiring story behind. Interestingly its founder has been suffering from ankylosing spondylitis which is a kind of inflammatory arthritis that affects primarily the spine, causing severe chronic back pain and eventually fusion of the spinal joints in the terminal stage. Although there’s no medication available to cure this illness, yoga can alleviate her back pain, slow down the disease progression! Hence, she decided to set up a yoga studio in order to help those who are in need of the health benefits of yoga and for those who wish to achieve long-term health and mind improvement!
